🌿 Meet Jasmin
Role: Specialist Musculoskeletal Bodywork Therapist & Director of Karuna Wellbeing Ltd
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me and the heart behind Karuna. My work is shaped by lived experience, deep curiosity, and a commitment to creating a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported — exactly as they are.
My Approach to Bodywork
I’m a Specialist Musculoskeletal Bodywork Therapist, and my practice is rooted in slow, intuitive, nervous‑system‑led bodywork. I believe the body remembers everything — and with the right support, it can also soften, release, and find its way back to safety.
My work centres on helping people move from overwhelm into ease. I’m endlessly fascinated by how touch, presence, and gentle pacing can shift someone’s internal landscape. That quiet transformation is what keeps me passionate about this work every single day. I work from our trauma‑aware wellbeing clinic in Mossley Hill, South Liverpool.
A Deep Curiosity for the Human Body
I’ve always been captivated by how the body communicates, adapts, and protects us. My interest in illness and disease isn’t clinical or detached — it’s deeply human. I’m curious about how the body responds to challenge, how it copes, and how we can support it with compassion and evidence‑informed care.
This curiosity shapes every treatment I offer and every decision I make within Karuna.
My Lived Experience
My journey into this work began during a period of profound ill health. While studying for my undergraduate degree, I became bed‑bound and was later diagnosed with an unknown heart condition alongside fibromyalgia. That time taught me how isolating pain, exhaustion, and uncertainty can be — and how few gentle, accessible options existed for people who wanted to support their wellbeing without being pushed or dismissed.
I realised there was a gap in the community for people carrying tension, trauma, and chronic symptoms who needed a place to land. A place where they didn’t have to perform or pretend. A place where they could simply arrive as they are and feel held.
How Karuna Began
When I slowly rebuilt my strength, I returned to studying and discovered a deep love for bodywork. It became the way I could offer others what I once needed myself.
Over time, that calling grew into Karuna — a trauma‑aware wellbeing space in Mossley Hill, South Liverpool, built on compassion, community, and accessibility. Every service we offer has been shaped by real people with real stories, and by a commitment to meeting people where they are.
Who I Support
My practice is especially supportive for:
-
people living with chronic pain or long‑term conditions
-
those navigating trauma, overwhelm, or burnout
-
people with sensory needs
-
carers and those carrying emotional or physical load
-
anyone seeking gentle, nervous‑system‑led support
My Vision for Karuna
Over the next five years, I want Karuna to grow into a recognised wellbeing hub in Liverpool — a place known for its warmth, its integrity, and its impact within the community. I’m working towards:
-
developing a charity arm to make support more affordable for people living with health‑related challenges
-
expanding our service menu with evidence‑informed, accessible treatments
-
growing a team of practitioners who feel empowered, supported, and valued
-
offering community programmes that reduce barriers to care
-
becoming part of the wider NHS social prescribing network
-
creating a sustainable business model that keeps prices fair while honouring the depth of the work
-
developing research‑ready wellbeing projects that contribute to the wider field
At its heart, my long‑term vision is simple:
Karuna becomes a place where people feel better the moment they walk in — and a place where practitioners feel proud to work.
